The Heath Family
We are the Heaths - Dave and Hannah, Daisy, Finn and Albie, the Co is the company we keep. Our friends, our family, our neighbours and those we’ve met along the way.
This adventure started long before this vineyard became our home. Heath & Co is a 50 acre certified organic property nestled on the banks of the Finniss River. Heath & Co nurtures 10 acres of 20 year old Shiraz and 5 acres of 18 year old Tempranillo Vines producing premium certified organic wine grapes.
Each stage of our journey has been marked by connection; friendships forged and a beautiful community of neighbours.
Our History
Heath and Co began when two brothers John and Henry Heath arrived in Australia from Devon England in 1855. John established himself in Adelaide with the Heath and Co brand beginning with a Stone Ginger Beer company in Wallaroo, South Australia. This company established the Heath name in South Australia leading to well known farmers and iconic winemakers in our industry. We are proud to be great great grandchildren of John and continue the Heath and Co name.
Our Ethos
We are committed to being a small batch boutique vineyard using regenerative organic farming practices which focuses on the microbiome of the soil – nourishing the ecosystem that is not always visible to the eye. We focus on providing a living soil with a balanced ecosystem that nourishes and strengthens our vines just like our gut health supports a healthy body. When the soil balance is right, the landscape flourishes!
We appreciate everyday is a gift and and we are committed to living with purpose, honouring the rhythm of each season. Family owned and farmed from vine to bottle, our passion is to leave our earth better than when we arrived. While we love to have fun, quality and integrity are without compromise; our satisfaction found in healthy soil, leaves, and the fruit that leads to a great glass of wine!
